W Osaka is the brand’s first flag in Japan: Travel Weekly


W Hotels planted its first flag in Japan with the opening of W Osaka.

Located in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi shopping district on Midosuji Boulevard, this 27-story hotel has 337 rooms, including 35 suites. Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and bathrooms with rainfall showerheads, among other amenities.

An Extreme WOW Penthouse Suite, which is the W brand’s version of a Presidential Suite, is perched on the top floor of the hotel and features over 2,100 square feet and five bedrooms. The suite offers features such as an oversized chrome bathtub, an open kitchen, and a built-in DJ booth.

The W Osaka is home to several restaurants and bars, including the concept bistro-restaurant Oh.Lala, run by celebrity chef Yusuke Takada, and Teppanyaki Mydo, which serves locally inspired dishes. An omakase restaurant, Sushi Ukiyo, is also on offer, as is the Wet Bar adjacent to the pool and the Living Room lobby bar.

Other hotel highlights include a fitness area with yoga room, Away Spa, and event and meeting spaces, including a ballroom.
